DIRECTIONS COMING FROM THE NORTH/NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE
Traveling South down the New Jersey Turnpike, exit at the last exit #1
After you pay the toll, stay in the far right hand land and take the next immediate exit (which has a Route # on it). At the traffic light, turn a hard left and proceed over the Turnpike overpass to the next light and continue through this light. You are now traveling on Route #540 East. Continue on Route #540 East approximately 6 miles. Just before the Memorial Hospital of Salem County, follow the Route #540 signs to the left. Route #540 and Route #45 combine here.

Continue on Route #540/Route #45 approximately 1 mile to the next sign saying Route #540 Alloway, turn right and continue on Route #540 East approximately 3 miles. The Salem County Solid Waste Facility signs are located on the left hand corner of McKillip and Route #540. Turn left, onto McKillip Road and if you are coming the landfill, turn right at the first driveway on McKillip. If you are coming to the office, continue on McKillip Road to the second driveway and turn right. The office is located in the blue building on your right as you come into the driveway.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE EAST/ROUTE 40
TRAVEL WEST ON ROUTE 40 UNTIL YOU COME INTO THE TOWN OF WOODSTOWN. ROUTE 45 AND ROUTE 40 COMBINE IN THE CENTER OF TOWN AT THE LIGHT. (YOU’LL SEE SIGNS.). STAY ON ROUTE 40 AND CONTINUE TO THE NEXT TRAFFIC LIGHT. THERE IS A CEMETARY, CORNER BAR, ECKARDS AND WAWA AT THIS CORNER. YOU WOULD HAVE TO TURN RIGHT TO CONTINUE ON ROUTE 40 HERE. STAY STRIAGHT, THROUGH THIS LIGHT TO CONTINUE ON ROUTE 45 SOUTH. TRAVEL DOWN APPROXIMATELY 6 MILES. BEFORE MANNINGTON SCHOOL, YOU’LL SEE A SIGN THAT READS ALLOWAY, ROUTE 540 EAST. TURN LEFT ONTO ROUTE 540 EAST AND CONTINUE ANOTHER 3 MILES TO MCKILLIP ROAD THAT INTERSECTS ON YOUR LEFT. YOU’LL SEE OUR LARGE SALEM COUNTY SOLID WASTE SIGN. TURN LEFT ONTO MCKILLIP ROAD AND THEN TURN RIGHT AT THE FIRST DRIVEWAY ON YOUR RIGHT. THIS IS THE OPENING TO THE LANDFILL AND YOU’LL SEE THE SCALEHOUSE AND SCLALES IN FRONT OF YOU. PROCEED TO THE SCALEHOUSE AND YOU’LL BE WEIGHED AND DIRECTED.

DIRECTIONS TO SCUA FROM INTERSTATE 295 SOUTH/ROUTE 540 EAST
Travel down 295 South to Exit 2B (will read Route 130/40 East).
Continue through the light going over the NJ Turnpike overpass. At the next light go straight through. This is Route 540 East. Continue on Route 540 East approximately 6 miles. Just before the Memorial Hospital of Salem County, follow the Route 540 signs and turn left. At the stop sign, turn left again. This is Route 540 and Route 45 combined.

Continue on Route 540/Route 45 combined approximately 1 mile where Mannington Township and Mannington School will be on your left, and a sign on your right will read Route 540 Alloway. Turn right onto Route 540 and continue on Route 540 approximately 3 miles. The Salem County Solid Waste Facility sign will be located on your left at the corner of McKillip Road and Route 540. Turn left onto McKillip and continue to the second driveway. Turn right into the driveway and the office is the blue building on your right.

DIRECTIONS FROM BRIDGETON AREA
Traveling West on Route #49, continue through Shiloh to Route #647/Telegraph Road, (Marlboro Market is located at the left). Turn right onto Route #647/Telegraph Road. Continue on Route #647, which will become Route #540 a few miles down the road. Stay straight on Route #540/Telegraph Road into the small town of Alloway. Go through the light in Alloway and stay on Route #540 and at the tope of the little hill, bear right to stay on Route #540 (if you stay straight, you will be heading towards Salem). Traveling on Route #540, go over the railroad tracks and the next road you come to on your right is McKillip Road. Turn right onto McKillip Road and proceed to the second driveway on your right. When you turn into this driveway, the office is the blue building on your right.
